I began by conducting primary research on smartphone capacity, algorithms used in search, techniques like caching and lots more. This gave me better insights on the various components involved in the design of a smartphone and its programs as well as what techniques the AI engines would need to utilize during searches. Here are a few insightful terminologies I got from the research: Caching: Caching is a process where certain files or data sets are stored in a system’s temporary storage system for quick retrieval. Algorithms: Algorithms like the binary search are used to speed up the process of getting the target element. Indexing: A structured, searchable catalog of files, images, or data stored on the device, that makes it easier and faster to retrieve relevant information when requested for by the user through means like a sorting command, search and other forms of query.
